Ílhavo Municipal Library

- The Municipal Library is located on the outskirts of the current town, in an area of urban expansion. More than a building, it is an operation that attempts to "bake" and liaise with the various volumetrics in the environment, clarifying and consolidating urban fragments which apparently have no sense of group. Although there is clear evidence that this is a contemporary-style architecture, there is a "symbiosis" with what was pre-existing. Formed of three distinct programmes, that programmatic complexity is also an argument for the structuring of the interior spaces.
