Igreja de Santo António

The church, which is set in the centre of the city, hides behind blind, white walls. The experience is kept within, in the spiritual bunker. Entry is made through a large patio, limited by the side wings and by ramps for access to the parish community centre. At the end is the central space of the church, surprisingly transparent, where a rock can be seen behind the altar. A church grounded on rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. (Gospel According to St. Mathew, C7, 24-25).
