Charneca da Caparica Municipal Pavilion

Print
To the south of Lisbon lies one of the biggest beaches in Europe, stretching for about 40 km. This huge stretch of sand starts exactly in Charneca da Caparica and ends at the dramatic Cape Espichel. An excellent opportunity to take in the views and, on the way, to visit the urban park where this facility is located. The Pavilion very sensitively interprets its surroundings, its relationship with the landscape, which is not only found in the understanding of the topography but in the very careful architectural language, which is almost existential. It takes us back to a journey of ambiguous environments and poetic relationships, which are in fact more characteristic of the oriental architecture in the way it respects and relates to nature.
